There are so many questions that come up when a new collector or hobbyist looks at the opportunity to own a classic automobile. We always say it’s not for the faint of heart, but we also believe the rewards of owning a piece of automotive history far outweigh any bumps in that road.

Bergsma Motorwerks was started to provide a much needed service in our area to maintain, repair, and refurbish Mercedes Benz automobiles. For the first 10 years our business was located on a converted 40 acre dairy farm just north of Bellingham, WA. During the late 1990s and early 2000s we restored/refurbished over 150 Mercedes as well as servicing and repairing many more. We became intimately familiar with every model from the mid 1950’s 220s to the early 1990’s W124s. During this time our specialties included cost effective rust repair, damage repair, sheet metal replacement, interior repair and upgrade, and body and paint as well as engine overhaul and used engine transplants, transmission replacements, suspension, brakes and performance tuning.
